POINT,
LINE, LINE SEGMENT AND PLANE
Points indicate a
definite position.
A line is a set of points
closely arranged.
A straight line extends
in both the direction.
A ray is a line with a
starting point.
A line segment is a
part of a line between two points.
A plane is flat surface
which extends indefinitely in all directions.
Two non-parallel lines intersect
at a point.
Lines which do not
intersect at any point are called parallel lines.
Two lines which
intersect each other at right angles are called perpendicular lines.
Two or more points
which lie on the same straight line are called collinear points.
Three or more lines
passing through a point are called concurrent lines.
